Every Sunday, we gather together as Christians to encourage one another, fellowship, pray, worship God, and hear the preaching of the Word, and celebrate the gospel.

Our Sunday begins at 9:30am with classes where we learn about God’s Word and its application to our lives. We then find our seats and prepare our hearts for our morning worship service at 10:30am. In this service, we sing several songs, hear Scripture read, offer prayers to God, listen to a sermon, and every other week celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We conclude our time of worship at 12:00pm.

Ordinary Means of Grace

God sovereignly creates and increases faith through His ordained means, often called the ordinary means of grace, which are vital for our spiritual health and growth. These God-ordained means are the Word, prayer, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. At ECC, we are a church governed by these ordinary means of grace and believe that these are the main ways that God’s people grow. We have a radical commitment to following the direction of God’s Word for all that we do in our corporate worship. Although we have various ministries and opportunities for fellowship within our church community, we are not a program-driven church but an ordinary-means-of-grace-driven church.

Sermon

We believe that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We also believe that preaching of God’s Word is absolutely essential for the health of the church (2 Timothy 4:1-2). Therefore, each week the sermon is founded upon biblical truths that will challenge and encourage us to grow in the grace and knowledge of God; we preach “Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). We are committed to the faithful exposition of the Scriptures, preaching through both passages and books in order to declare the whole counsel of God. Since 2017 we have been preaching through the Gospel of Luke.

Music

We sing songs that exalt the triune God, declaring who He is and what He has done through Christ Jesus. Our emphasis is on helping the congregation sing praise to God so that the Word of Christ will dwell in us richly (Colossians 3:16).  Our musical style is contemporary, singing mostly hymns and modern worship songs that are rich in biblical doctrine and that help to awaken our emotions with truth. Family

It is our goal to equip parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children and to help families grow in the knowledge of God and his gospel of grace. Each Sunday, your children will learn about the character of our glorious God, the life-changing truths of the gospel, and the importance of the Word, fellowship, and prayer. Families come together for corporate worship each week at 10:30am, with children both 2-5 years old and those in 1st-5th grades being dismissed to Kid’s Church part way through our gathering. We provide a secure check-in service for all children participating in these ministries and have volunteers available to assist you through this process. We have a nursery as well as a changing room and a designated space for nursing mothers.

Giving

Each week, we provide a time to worship God through the giving of offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any obligation to give! This is an act of worship for our church members, allowing them to thank God for the work he is doing in their lives and to help support the gospel ministry of ECC. You may also give online through our website or through the Tithe.ly mobile app.
